Challenge: James/Regulus: James can't stand to see Sirius so torn up over his family, so he sets out to win Regulus over to their side. They strike up an odd sort of friendship -- the only problem is the influence goes both ways. (Regulus must be RAB. Bonus for James helping.)
Summary: James sets out to win Regulus over, but finds the boy creeping into parts of his life he long thought impenetrable.
Warnings: implied incest.

A/N: I played fast and loose with the prompt, mostly because I didn’t want to write James puking his guts out. But hopefully what I came up with does not disappoint! Lots of love to beta goodkingnerdnor, and apologies in advance to absinthe_lust and happiestwhen, who are both waiting for me to turn in fest fics that I most definitely didn’t write in favor of this.
( Of all the things that Lily generally does not want to see first in the morning, James Potter slouching on her favourite Common Room sofa, humming to himself and lovingly cradling a mostly-empty bottle of some clear liquid with gold sparkles, is fairly high on the list. )
